EAST LABO Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") deeply respects the privacy of the customers who use "Kaopon" (the "App").
The App's core principle is that it does not transmit your photos or face information to our servers or any third party, and completes all processing on your device (on-device).
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled in the App.
The App detects faces from the photos on your device and creates game piece images. All of this processing (accessing photos, detecting faces, cropping and stylizing images) is performed entirely on your device, and your photos and face images/data are never transmitted or uploaded to our servers or any third party.
The App requests permission to access your device's photo library in order to create the face images used as game pieces. The photos accessed are used solely for detecting faces and creating piece images.
Detected faces are cropped into piece images (thumbnails) and stored only on your device. The original photos themselves are not copied or stored.
We never transmit your photos, face images, or facial feature data to our servers or any third party. We also do not perform facial recognition that identifies individuals.
The App does not require account registration. We do not collect the following information:

All of this data is erased when you delete (uninstall) the App from your device. You can also delete created faces or clear the pool from within the App.
We use Google's ML Kit (on-device version) for face detection. All detection processing is completed on your device, and images are never transmitted to Google or any external party.
To offer the App for free, we use Google AdMob to display advertisements (interstitial and rewarded ads). To deliver ads, manage how often they are shown, and prevent fraud, AdMob (Google) may obtain device and usage information such as advertising identifiers, IP address (including an approximate region derived from it), and information about ad impressions and interactions.
The App requests non-personalized ads only and does not track you across apps for advertising purposes. It does not present the iOS "App Tracking Transparency" prompt.
Your photos, face images, and facial feature data are never provided to the advertising provider. They are stored only on your device and are not transmitted externally.

The App is distributed through app stores such as the App Store and Google Play. The App also offers a one-time in-app purchase to remove ads. Purchases and purchase restoration are processed through the respective app store, and we do not obtain or store your payment information (such as credit card numbers). The handling of information associated with the use of an app store is governed by the privacy policy of each app store operator.
Because the App does not store personal information on servers, we hold no information subject to disclosure or correction. You can delete the data on your device yourself at any time, using the in-app deletion features or by uninstalling the App.
The App is designed not to collect personally identifiable information. If a child uses the App, please ensure that they do so under the supervision of a parent or guardian.
We may change this Privacy Policy without prior notice. The revised Privacy Policy takes effect when it is posted on this page.
This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any dispute relating to the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Kobe District Court as the court of first instance.
