Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How do I use it?
- Tap the screen to make the character perform moves (dance actions). Combine moves to choreograph.
- Use the record button to capture a few seconds of dancing, then add a short message on the finishing screen.
- You can save the result as a GIF or video, or share it straight into a conversation (LINE, etc.). There's no scoring and no winning or losing — just make it and send it.
I want to put my own face (a "mask") on the character
- From "Mask," choose a photo, use drag and pinch to specify which part to use, and crop it — it will be composited onto the character's face.
- The first time, you'll need to grant photo access. On your iPhone, go to Settings → DANSTA → Photos and allow access.
- Not just faces — you can turn pets, illustrations, objects, or any photo into a mask.
I want to remove ads (purchase & restore)
- From the Settings screen in the App, the one-time "Remove ads" purchase hides all ads. It also includes every unlockable item added in future updates.
- The watermark on exported images and videos is part of the App's design and appears regardless of purchase.
- If you change devices or reinstall, use "Restore purchase" on the Settings screen to carry over your purchase.
I want to delete masks or dances I created
- Masks can be deleted by long-pressing the thumbnail on the selection screen.
- Saved dances (takes) can be deleted from the storage shelf.
Can I transfer my saved dances or masks to a new device?
- Because the App is designed to prioritize privacy, your masks, dances, and settings are stored only on your device. They are not carried over when you delete the App or change devices. Please be aware of this.
- As an exception, only the "Remove ads" purchase can be carried over via "Restore purchase."
Where are exported GIFs and videos saved?
- On the finishing screen, "Save" stores them to your device's photo library (camera roll). Choosing "Share" sends them directly to other apps via your device's share sheet. Both happen only when you take the action.
Are my photos or mask information sent externally?
- No. Your photos, mask images, and the videos you create are all processed on your device and are never sent to our servers or any third party. We also do not perform automatic face detection or facial recognition that identifies individuals. For details, please see our Privacy Policy.
